Carnivore Mistakes
Very similar experience in rural eastern Oregon. As I was leaving the clinic I took notice that every staff member is fifty pounds overweight. If they can't help their own staff what chances do I have? I went keto two years ago. Keto won. Doctors lost. Pharmacy lost. Kellogs, coca cola, McDonald, General mills, etc. All dead to me.
I swiched to a low carb GP and it's a world of difference. She is excited by any improvements, cheerful, energetic and engaged. She suggested a CAC score test and was over the moon at my result of zero. Doctors visits are so much less stressful. I don't have that constant stress that my doc thinks I'm cra cra. She listens and makes useful suggestions and is happy to be a partner in seeking health solutions. She attends low carb conferences in Australia, and is familiar with the key carnivore docs channels in UK and USA. Cost a bit more but well worth it and I always leave my appointment smiling.
My doc almost had a pink fit when she saw my cholesterol. She immediately said I needed statins. I refused, and she told me she would put it on my file that I refused her advice. I've been going to my doctor for 16 years, so you knew my history. Sad, eh!!!!!!! Cheers Rosemary Western Australia 74yrs
Just had my bloods back. Total cholesterol of 420. Doc wants me on statins..... Typical. All my other indicators were great. He was very pushy but clearly I said no. Hard work using the medical system on carnivor.
This is exactly my experience with my doctor. It shook my confidence. I’m so glad you are doing these interviews. It helps me to stay focused on eating carnivore. Thank you, Dave
Stupid? Conditioned? Brain-washed? Hypnotised? Greedy and self serving? Or just institutionalised?
Honestly I have no idea what's happened to doctors, or even most people. There's so much stuff going on at the moment where people almost seem to be in a zombie like, robotic state, and nothing seems to go in. Just a complete lack of curiosity. It's breathtaking, disturbing, and incomprehensible - for me at least…
Last week I had to get admitted to hospital to have my infected appendix operated out. I told the docks about my carnivore and a couple of them actually cheered! One even said he wanted to go on it but hadn't yet dared. Is the message slowly getting out there? Btw, I am doing an amazing speedy recovery from the op.
I don’t see a doctor and haven’t in over 15 years. I had a life insurance medical and all my markers for health were so exemplary that they upped my policy significantly at no extra cost. It was good feedback that what I’m doing is right for me!
I told my doctor I'm doing carnivore and i was surprised I got a response. His response was you're going to become constipated with no fiber, so i emailed him some studies that proved otherwise and man was he angry with me.
Hi Dave. Thanks again for the interview! I had my blood tested. My LDL was 180. "Put him on a statin, stat!" It was over the 100 mark. Yeah, no.I say.... Maybe , just maybe , the number of lipo proteins transporting cholesterol in my blood, is the EXACT number my body requires at that particular moment and I do not think we should be chemically altering specific blood markers. Our genes have been in charge of this for millions of years and they know exactly what they are doing(if you stop poisoning them that is). Humans think they are so intelligent while simultaneously being the dumbest that maybe ever existed.
My husband was just found to have adult onset type 1 diabetes at 73. He's doing very well on long acting insulin and a keto/carnivore lifestyle. But his incredibly obese endocrinologist sent the pharmacist a statin prescription for him. I've convinced him to refuse to take them. It's so important to learn and make one's own decisions.
