I take high dose melatonin for cancer. Love the work of Doris Loh and Russel Reiter.
I take 3000 to 4000 mg daily for my breast cancer
I've been taking 50-70mg a night since the beginning of the year. I do feel a little drowsy in the morning but I go straight to the gym and after a few sets I'm fully awake.
I have gradually increased my nightly intake to 100mg …. I noticed a threshold at about 60mg when I started waking up fully alert and energized! I have ordered some 60mg capsules and intend to titrate up to about 500mg a day to see what happens ….
Well, there is no evidence of significant dangers after reviewing dozens of recent Pub med articles..
And, many significant benefits in treating cancers and other maladies.. But all this research is so recent that it’s easy to be a bit skeptical, as I was . I’m up to 30 mg a night. I would agree that the sleep benefits , where 0.3 -3 mg are often recommended, are quite separate from the metabolic benefits …. which is the subject here.. Of course, a dire lack of clinical and lab results, it’s all about the $$$.
I currently take 3 grams per day. Spread out every two hours. Have been doing so for over a year.
I only need to take 3mg one to two nights to reset my sleep schedule to the proper time I want to sleep. Then I find taking 3mg once a week helps me maintain my sleep schedule. I can't imagine taking 1000mg, but I'd love to have a lucid dream. I remember as a child having a lucid dream and I realized I could do anything, so I flew through the sky and it felt so real I wanted to cry when I woke up.
I used to think I was megadosing at the 10 mg! Even at that level I'm convinced it opened my Third Eye as for the first time in my life I started to have psychic experiences. It was just over four years ago, when I was 61. Really wondering what 1000 mg would do for me, but I'm not sure I could afford it.
Consulting your doctor about taking various supplements or diet is a waste of everyone's time. Most doctors don't have a clue about nutrition.
